This is a time of indulgence and enjoyment for many of us lucky folk. Delicious treats, celebratory drinks … it’s the time of year to revel in such things.
Enjoy, I say. The season offers up so many delicious dishes for just that purpose!

Eat real food
What I mean by this is: don’t get caught up in pre-packaged, highly-sugared, super-junky ‘holiday food’.
Somehow, processed meals and faux-food ingredients have come to play a big role in many of our Christmas dishes.
There’s no need!
It is such a waste of the wonderful resources available in our kitchens, gardens, markets and food stalls. You can still eat delicious, decadent, indulgent things. Just do so using real food. In short:
- Make what you can
- Use fresh fruit and veg (there is SO much in season)
- Eat a variety of dishes
- Eat for your palate
- Enjoy whole foods
